This month, we’re going back to basics with the ABCs (of Scripture) in our August installment of the Write the Word series.
As Laura shared in last week’s post introducing the topic:
While these monthly themed bookmarks are typically designed for you (the mom) to read and write, this month we want to spur you on to print copies for all the children in your family. We encourage you to:
- Read it
- Write it
- Speak it
- Share it
- Think it
- Hide it
- Display it
- Live it
Because we’re encouraging you to incorporate this month’s verse list into your homeschooling, as an added resource we’ve created a set of printable cards with each of the daily Bible verses. They’re a great tool for memorization. And if your child is writing out the daily scriptures for handwriting practice, the pre-printed verses on each card are a convenient alternative to the Write The Word bookmark.

You may be asked to enter your email address if we don’t recognize you as a current subscriber.
Once you have, you can simply return to this page to download the file!
In addition to this month’s special daily verse cards, you can visit our “ABCs of Scripture” blog post and look over all of the available Write The Word resources, and download what best meets your needs: our WTW bookmarks in standard or large print, and the printable S.O.A.P. study pages (for more information on the S.O.A.P. format, please see this post from last year).
We’d love to see how your family decides to use Write The Word this month. Don’t forget that you can share photos on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #WriteTheWord, and be entered to win a beautiful DaySpring journal. Whether you choose to share a snapshot of the WTW bookmark, one of the daily verses written on a chalkboard, you, your journal, your family, or anything related to the verses you’re writing, we’re excited to see how you’re incorporating God’s Word into your home life and education. (Winning photo will be chosen at the end of August, from all the entries. Multiple submissions are allowed and encouraged!)
