Just under a year ago, we shared an exciting review of A Reason For Spelling® written by Tracy Glockle of Growing In Grace. Tracy was homeschooled herself, and now teaches her three children at home. Tracy’s daughter is dyslexic. Spelling has been a difficult subject from the beginning. After trying many different teaching methods, Tracy found A Reason For Spelling® and started the program with her daughter.
At homeschool conventions around the country, we have spoken to so many parents of children with learning challenges, and are constantly amazed at these dedicated moms and dads who persistently search for the best way to help their kids—and simply will not settle for anything less. Tracy is one example of this, and we know there are countless others.
Tracy recently published a wrap-up of 2017-18, identifying her top five picks of the school year. We’ll let her words speak for themselves:
“After years of struggling through spelling, we’ve found a curriculum that has made a world of difference for us. Reason for Spelling is my top homeschool curriculum favorite. I’ve been absolutely amazed at the progress my dyslexic daughter is making in spelling.”

Last month, our own Laura Macfarlan appeared with Tracy in a podcast hosted by Peggy Ployhar of SPED Homeschool, a Texas-based nonprofit organization providing resources and support for special needs homeschooling. If you are a parent educating a child with dyslexia or other challenges, we believe you’ll be inspired by Tracy’s story:
In honor of Tracy and the progress she and her daughter have made this year,
