Editor’s Note: As we begin the New Year, you may be in the same boat as a lot of moms (especially your busy fellow homeschoolers!) … resolving to do a better job of keeping your home life organized, and looking for ways to achieve that end. (Our ‘Do It’ List is a great place to start — be sure you’ve downloaded the January list if you haven’t already!) One thing that can be truly life-changing for a mom trying to manage a busy household, is planning your meals in advance. If you are not already doing this, we challenge you to commit to trying it for just a few weeks. If you’re new to meal planning, check out Bridgitt’s post about meal planning for lot of great tips, and free printable menu planning pages and shopping lists. You will not believe the difference it makes when you have this part of daily family life figured out in advance!
Our friend Corinna, from the YouTube channel Life’s Little Thingz, was kind enough to create a special menu and shopping list with 5 easy meals. We want to share this with you in today’s Throwback Thursday post. We hope you’ll visit Corinna’s channel and watch the video, and be inspired to try your hand at meal planning. The recipes and shopping list for the meals she prepares in the video are available at the link below.
If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I LOVE the Holidays!
But this can also be a very hectic time of year. During these busy days, I like to take short cuts with my meals. So I have put together a grocery haul, menu plan and 5 prepared simple meals on my channel:
I’ve also included a printable grocery list and the recipes to those meals, as well! You can download them here:

Some of the meals include:
I have even thrown in a crock pot meal. When my schedule gets crazy, I love using my multi-cooker to make a meal or thaw out the meat (this has saved me on many occasions). You’ll see what I mean in my video.
May you and your family enjoy these meals together, as you gather around the table, slowing down for just a little while.
Are you thinking of upgrading your crock pot? This video review of my crock pot / pressure cooker (yes, it’s both!) might help make up your mind!
Hello! My name is Corinna. I have been married to my best friend for 25 years. We have two boys, which I home schooled from 4th grade through graduation and both are now in college working on their degrees. We are originally from Michigan but moved to Texas for my husband’s job.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been a Sunday school teacher, a Women’s Group assistant leader, worked in nurseries and was in our church choir. And I love the Lord with all of my heart. He’s my best friend.
Now that I am in a new phase of my life, I have started a YouTube channel called Life’s Little Thingz and I feel that this is God lead. He has opened so many doors for me through my channel and I am so grateful to Him for doing so. It feels so good to be used by our Lord.
Some of the things I enjoy are cooking, gardening, reading a good book, watching old movies, and building friendships through my YouTube channel.
